35th Tehran International Book Fair openes

The 35th edition of the Tehran International Book Fair (TIBF) has officially kicked off on Wednesday.


According to Qom News The Iranian Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance Mohammad-Mehdi Esmaeili, cultural officials, publishers, and book lovers were present at the inauguration ceremony.

According to Mehr, over 2,500 Iranian publishers as well as 60 foreign publishers take part in the 35th edition of the book fair, which is underway in both physical and virtual formats, allowing each publisher to choose their preferred method of participation based on the fair's regulations. 

Tehran International Book Fair is annually staged in Tehran in May. The 35th Tehran International Book Fair has been set to take place from May 8th to May 18th, 2024, at the Grand Mosalla mosque of Tehran.

It is worth mentioning that, Yemeni, Iraqi and Russian publishers among others have set up stands at the 35th Tehran International Book Fair.

The Yemen's Stand was opened on Thursday morning in a ceremony attended by Mohammad Mehdi Esmaili, Iran's Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance, Yasser Ahmadvand, Vice President for Cultural Affairs and Chairman of TIBF.

In addition, in the TIBF national pavilion of "Russian Books", visitors will become familiar with new Russian books and contemporary Russian authors.
