Strengthening international relations Qom Municipality priority

Mehdi Kalantarzadeh made the remarks in a cordial meeting with the managers and representatives of international television networks in Qom.

One of the effective ways to introduce the city of Qom and its capacities is proper communication with national and international media, Kalantarzadeh noted.

Appreciating international media activities, the municipal official said that the international media have so far taken effective measures to introduce the city of Qom, and spread the teachings of Hazrat Fatima Masoumeh (AS).

We believe that using the capacities of the international media leads to urban development and introduces the city’s capacities which can attract more pilgrims and investors to the city, he stated

He went on to say that in order to strengthen international media relations, a think tank will be formed so that we can introduce the capacities of Qom city in the international arena by producing appropriate content.

Elsewhere in his remarks, Kalantarzadeh announced that the international affairs budget of Qom Municipality was approved for the first time, adding this can be a good opportunity to carry out various international projects to extend international activities.

Saying that we are establishing a new structure of public relations in the country, the Director General of Communications and International Affairs of Qom Municipality reiterated that the municipal information portal has also been launched in Arabic and English, and international affairs will be more specialized from now on.

In turn, the representatives of Qom-based media called for the development of cooperation by using the existing capacities in the urban management of this city.

The two-hour meeting was held on the occasion of the Decade of Benevolence, in which the municipality and representatives of Qom international television networks discussed and exchanged views on the capacities of the holy city of Qom in various fields, including religion and tourism.

Representatives of international television networks such as Al-Alam, Al-Ahvaz, Hedayat TV, Al-forat, Karbala, and Ahol-l Bayt TV were among those who were present at the gathering.
